But what we know now is that when we deny our emotion, it owns us. When we own our emotion, we can rebuild and find our way through the pain

Imagine a house is on fire, but the fire is only in one bedroom. What would you do? I think most people would call for help to extinguish the fire before it spreads. Now, imagine the house is you and the fire is whatever you're facing: depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, low self-esteem, big life changes. Do you tell yourself "it's not that bad" or "people have it worse than me"? I want you to know that you don't have to wait till that fire spreads to all the other rooms. You don't have to wait to get help. What you are walking through and what you're feeling is valid. You deserve to feel whole.

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

- Hebrews 4:16

I am a compassionate EMDR trained therapist who takes pride in walking alongside clients and creating a partnership that hopefully ends in more understanding, healing, and growth. As a therapist, my job is not to judge, give advice, or even make the hard and overwhelming stuff go away. However, I can foster a safe environment for you to know that you’re not alone nor too broken, give you tools to better sit or work through those hard things, and help you access the strength that you already possess. It is important to me to see my clients through a holistic perspective. I will take into account your physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and environmental experiences. I utilize a trauma-informed framework with my clients, while also pulling from different treatment modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Kristen Neff's self-compassion work.

When I am not in the office, you might find me eating Mexican food with my husband, walking my dogs along the Trinity River, or reading a good book! I would be honored if you were to trust me to be a part of your healing journey. Please reach out to me via phone or email. I look forward to chatting with you soon!
